Dalreoch Estate report week beginning the 4th of August
At last we had some water to talk about, Monday morning the river sat at 2.8 at bridge but it was dropping fast. Few excited fisherman made their way down to the river. Brian Robb got his season underway by hooking and landing a 8lb cock in the doctors and later landing a 4lb Grisle in the hairs took. On the same day Billy Morrison started his season where he left off last season with a 9lb salmon from the flats on Almont he also had 4 sea trout the biggest at 3lb. The water soon dropped but on Wednesday Simon Littlejohn took a nice fish of 11lb out of the Doctors and later a small sea trout. Their was no more action as the river dropped but as I type this the heavens have opened so more action is on its way.
